In the push to innovate the third-party delivery industry in the Philippines, Mober CEO Dennis Ng has been recognized as one of the top startup movers in 2023 for pioneering the switch of its fleets from traditional to electric vehicles (EVs).
Founded in 2015, Mober is a local startup that was the first to offer an on-demand platform for cost-effective, same-day delivery service for SMEs, shoppers, and households. The startup became a strong player in 2018 by earning an investment from 2GO group to further expand its third-party delivery services.
One of its most significant moves that made Mober one of the top startup companies in the Philippines was when it was the first logistics company in the Philippines to introduce EVs to its fleet in October 2021–all amidst economic turmoil due to the pandemic. Being a pioneer for EV delivery fleets, Mober is working on its transition towards greener transport in the Philippines by offering an environmentally friendly logistics option to big companies committed to achieving their net-zero goals.

Recently, Mober has added 16 electric vans and four electric trucks to its traditional fleet and plans to change around 180 of its gas-powered vans and trucks into electric vehicles by mid-2024.

“As we aim to help more retail giants, big FMCGs, and logistics companies decarbonize their fleets quickly, we also want to inspire other local startups to jumpstart their sustainability journey and contribute to achieving a greener economy,” Ng said. Some of Mober’s partners include Ikea, SM Appliance Center, Rockwell Land, Nespresso, and Red Ribbon Bakeshop.

“We are proud to be the go-to green+tech logistics provider in the Philippines by leveraging electric vehicles, utilizing technology to achieve efficiencies, and advocating for sustainability in the industry,” Ng adds.

Mober partners with What3Words, to simplify delivery locations in just three words - a unique, permanent and precise marker so every delivery arrives on time, in the exact spot requested by customer.

Aside from pushing for more EVs on its fleet, Mober also inked a deal with global location technology what3wordsto ensure deliveries arrive at their precise drop-off points faster and more efficiently.
